Picture of the 2011
-Comment why it is your favourite.
-Explain what the event is. What is the significance of the event/photo?
-Comment why it is your favourite.
The reason I choose this as my favorite is that the circular shape of the boat rally draws me attention. Also, the fact that the picture is taken from the top of the boat is interesting because I can see in a different perspective and I can see the inside of the boat which many things are going on.
-Explain what the event is. What is the significance of the event/photo? The even in this picture is that the Indian family fish on their circular boat in the waters of the Periyar River on the outskirts of the southern Indian city of Kochi on Jan. 5. I think the significance in this picture is that the whole family members are in the boat. I can see that they are fishing for living and the stuff in the boat are fish net and some fish they caught.
-Identify the main subject and what emphasizes it. (Leading lines, repetition, rule of thirds, contrast, framing).

This photo is my favorite because the reflection of the towers and firework interests me. Also, I like the black silhouette people between the real towers and the reflection of the towers in a pool. I can feel the celebrating and exciting mood in this photo.

-Explain what the event is. What is the significance of the event/photo?
What is happening in this picture is that supporters of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak fight with anti-Mubarak protesters on Feb. 2. The significance in this picture is that there is a tank that people standing on and the stones are tossed to people. Also, the people in the below have a serious and worrying look. Because Mubarak’s governing was strong and unfair, for Egyptians, it was important to stand up for their rights and desire for the democracy.
-Describe the photos, how does the image document the event/ how does the image tell the story?
The image of this photo tells well about the people who protest Mubarak and stones are thrown to people who support the Mubarak government. The people’s faces definitely indicate the aims for their hope to have freedom. It is very realistic and not artificial. There is a man who is filming that situation and a woman who is frowning. Therefore, this picture explains a lot about the event.
-Identify the main subject and what emphasizes it. (Leading lines, repetition, rule of thirds, contrast, framing). The main subject in this picture is that the people below the picture framing the main people who are tossed by stones. Also, they make me focus on the middle of the picture. Also, there is a repetition of stones flying in various different ways.

The night scene brings the atmosphere of celebrating the New Year. The fire work that reflected on the pool is very precise and even it looks more like real. However, it would be more nice if there are more people celebrating each other and more action so that I can see more energy of the New Year.
-Identify the main subject and what emphasizes it. (Leading lines, repetition, rule of thirds, contrast, framing).
The main subject is firework and the twin building at night. Also, the repetition of the fire work and the buildings empathize. Also, the line that separates the real firework and the one that reflected on the pool catch viewers’ attention.
